Shree Sant Dnyaneshwar Vidyalaya
In 2006, we set up a primary school on the SEDT campus at Kerwadi with the aim of providing quality education and facilitating all around development of local children. The school has developed up to Class VII. At present, there are 340 students and 11 teachers in this school and a retired special education officer has been appointed to monitor and supervise this fine establishment.
About Sant Dnyaneshwar Vidyalay
We have tried to integrate several innovative activities into the routine of this school. Activities like Newspaper reading, thought of the day, tree plantation, computer education, etc. are a significant part of the curriculum. We do this to stress on experience-based schooling. The children are regularly taken to picnics and exposure tours to the post office, flour mill, yarn mill, banks, police station, etc. quite frequently. We also encourage extra-curricular talents through competitions like essay writing, elocution, painting etc. Our Aim
To provide the best quality education of the children living in Kerwadi and to villages in its vicinity.

Our Approach
We promote quality education through experience-based education. And also invite industry experts to spend some time with these children to educate them on the real-world application of what they are learning. This helps the children to see things in their natural light and setting and promotes healthy thinking skills. Our Intervention
Kerwadi and as a matter of fact, the district of Parbhani ranks among the lowest in the entire country when it comes to literacy. People here are not given proper education, which in turn worsens their financial and economic condition. They need to be educated and come to a realization that education is the only way to their salvation and a better future. That is why we have set up schools and expeditions to better educate children in this district.
