Swapnabhoomi/Dreamland is not just a shelter, it’s a family. It’s a place where children who are orphaned, homeless, or in need of care and protection find love, safety, and a chance to dream of a brighter future.
Since its inception in 1980, SEDT has remained deeply committed to Swapnabhoomi (Dreamland). What began in a small village warehouse in Kerwadi with just six children and a few caring hearts has now grown into a full-fledged home, nurturing over 400 children through the years. For the last 31 years, Dreamland has stood on its own premises at Kerwadi, continuing its mission to give every child a safe and happy childhood.
At Dreamland, we ensure every child receives nutritious food, good clothing, clean bedding, and proper study materials. Each child has access to school uniforms, personal hygiene items, and shared cupboards and desks , creating a sense of comfort, discipline, and belonging.
But Dreamland is about more than just care , it’s about growth. Alongside regular schooling, children participate in activities that build social values, life skills, confidence, and personality development. These experiences help them grow into responsible and capable young adults.
Just like any big Indian family, we celebrate every festival together — Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, Gudi Padwa, Holi, Independence Day, Republic Day, Children’s Day, and more. Annual gatherings, cultural programs, and sports competitions bring joy and togetherness into their lives.
Our work continues with the support of kind-hearted individuals, institutions, and organizations who believe in our mission. Every bit of help , be it expertise, resources, or funding , strengthens our ability to care for children and shape their futures.
