To Build Knowledge Society in the rural area , by developing curiosity and habit of problem solving among children of the area . Creative interactive exhibition which fire one's imagination by educational products which will lead to learn something more than just Science

INDIA'S FIRST INNOVATIVE SCIENCE CENTER FOR RURAL AREA
KERWADI, TAL.PALAM, PARBHANI, MAHARASHTRA
ONE SCIENCE CENTER CAN BE DEVELOPED FOR CLUSTER OF SCHOOLS OR FOR ONE BLOCK
To establish this innovative concept of Science Centers in the school
Specialy focused on Tribal Areas / Backward Areas in India.
This Science Center is design to create an atmosphere in which students, teachers, can come, play, think ,learn , watch, discuss, do various activities .Every Exhibit ,which will be display in center aims at triggering the curiosity.
This kind of Science Center can be developed as 1 center per block (Taluka), So all the Schools from same block can have advantage of it . Or one Science Center can be developed for cluster of schools in rural as well as urban area.
Science Center will be cluster of Science Gadgets installed permanently or movable and meant for play way learning of science. Science Center is innovative concept of teacher science in an formal way. The basic concept of science center enhancing tendency of the children to play more than to read.

This Center is designed considering ready space availability of minimum 1200-1500 sq.ft. or minimum 3 classroom or any big hall required space.
Budget required for such a small science center is around 12 to 17 lakh (INR) For each Science Center (Without construction cost )
CSR SOLUTION
Creating partnership and collabrations with various stake holder for sustainability for the projects.
Developing long term sustainable and effective CSR initiatives for such innovative education methods.
Collaborating with Corporates and acting as per CSR plan, We SEDT can develop such innovative impact in education center.
Till date SEDT has established more than 95 Science Centers.

1. For Tribal Development department and other departments of Maharashtra -89 Science Centers

2. For HCL Foundation Centers at Nagpur, Noida, Lukhnow and Pune

Considering concept of Science Center to be established at schools , we have drown a Specific strategy. There are few important points which we allrady taken care of.
Teachers Training (Facilitator's Training ) is considered one of the the key element of this project which will be provided by us.

Identify and network with like-minded international and educationist and partner to understand global practices.

Establish a Curiosity Center with adequate facilities and make it accessible to children.

Network with school in the block, district and adjoining districts in the region to reach to maximum children and extends its benifit.

SUSTaiNaBILITY

Teacher Role as Facilitator is important to deal with children when they will visit in the center.

School should appoint 1 or 2 person, they may give responsibility to any teacher from their own staff to take care of the center and children visit near by schools.

Need proper care and maintenance of the exhibits are manufactured with enough care but still when children are going to use those exhibits then we have to maintain all the exhibits with proper care.

Each time there should not be 50 children in the center, school should accommodate max 50 children at a time, so every child can see all exhibits in detail.

Proper planning of visits should be done by owner of science center school. This school should send letter to all nearby school and should do proper plan of the visits.
